INTERIM HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL 2026-2027 Academic Year MEDWAY PUBLIC SCHOOLS MEDWAY, MASSACHUSETTS The Medway Public Schools is seeking an experienced and proven educational leader to serve as its Interim High School Principal for the 2026-2027 year. Medway High School is a high-performing, student-centered learning community serving approximately 575 students in grades 9-12. Known for its strong academic program, inclusive culture, and deep sense of community, MHS offers a wide range of opportunities for students to challenge themselves through open-access Advanced Placement courses, five Innovation Career Pathways, and robust arts, athletics, and extracurricular programs. Our staff is collaborative, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement, with a focus on instructional excellence, student belonging, and preparing students for success beyond high school. The Interim Principal of Medway High School, with the support of an administrative team including two Assistant Principals, Special Education Team Chair, and Athletic Director, is the educational administrator and leader of their school. The Interim Principal shall supervise the operation and management of the school and school property, subject to the supervision and direction of the Superintendent. In accordance with district personnel policies, applicable statutes and budgetary parameters, and subject to the approval of the Superintendent, the Interim Principal shall be responsible for the employment decisions regarding all teachers, instructional or administrative aides, and other personnel assigned to the school. Through the application of administrative leadership, management and supervisory skills, the Interim Principal shall organize, support and provide a learning environment conducive to the maximum educational growth of each student. Candidates must have the following qualifications pertaining to administrative and instructional leadership, student management, and community relationships: Certification as a high school principal in Massachusetts Minimum of seven years educational leadership experience Demonstrated leadership in staff and curriculum development Minimum of a master's degree with specialization in educational administration or curriculum and supervision Administrative and/or supervisory experience Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or School Committee may find appropriate and acceptable Interested applicants should apply via SchoolSpring or contact HR@MedwaySchools.org with questions. The salary range for this position is $152,000 - 177,000 per year (commensurate with qualifications and experience) and also includes a generous benefits package.
