The Interim Program Coordinator, Community Belonging and Impact, is a one-year interim position that plays a key supportive role in developing and scaling belonging-focused programming, curriculum, and engagement opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and neighborhood community partners. This position supports community-building opportunities that increase belonging, cohesion, access, retention/persistence, recruitment, and community engagement. The Interim Program Coordinator reports to the Executive Director of HIVE, in the Division of Community, Culture, and Belonging, and supports work across HIVE and the Elma Lewis Center.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Support HIVE Executive Director with planning and operations for large-scale community- building and belonging events, taking notes at planning meetings and executing assigned tasks related to program design, logistics, advertising, background research, and assessment.
Collaborate with HIVE staff on the development and delivery of programming for students who receive access-based scholarships and help facilitate their connections to College and local resources as requested.
Support Employee Resource Network Co-Chairs with program planning and assessment, providing logistics for a calendar of activities including execution of space reservations and catering orders, and contributing to drafting of emails and flyers.
Support content development for Celebrate Diversity, a robust calendar of recognition days, heritage months, and spiritual seasonal observances, by researching material, local events, and drafting designs using Google Docs, CloudHQ, and Canva at the direction of the Executive Director.
Provide programmatic and operational support for youth programming in the Elma Lewis Center, by helping to design curricula, and coordinate and facilitate youth development programs with local area community partners.
Organize information and non-sensitive data related to youth programming for the Division of Community, Culture, and Belonging by maintaining shared digital drives, tracking participant information, and supporting divisional knowledge management processes.
Represent CCB at orientation and open house events, recruitment weekends, and other College-wide fairs, as needed
Attend, participate in, and contribute to team meetings and gatherings, as well as training and workshops across the Division of CCB.
QUALIFICATIONS – Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform job.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
At least 2 years developing and facilitating programs in higher education and/or community engagement, or commensurate experience.
Proven experience with event management and event planning.
Experience working to connect access-based resources with individuals and communities.
Demonstrated ability to work in highly collaborative environments, both as an individual and as a team.
Proven experience multitasking across a variety of responsibilities with varying levels of complexity.
Familiarity with community belonging and inclusion frameworks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES – May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly associated with the job.
Ability to effectively develop, prioritize, and execute multiple key projects simultaneously, both independently and collaboratively.

Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and adaptability to new technologies.
