Adaptability in dealing with students with IEPs.Possess strong writing, speaking, and human relations skills.Function and maintain a positive rapport with all stakeholder groups.Complies with Job Description for Classroom TeachersPerformance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:Provide speech screening tests for all referred students.Provide diagnostic/evaluation testing for students failing speech screening.Create a treatment plan for students needing speech/language services.Participate in and/or create a student's IEP. Collect, maintain, record, and report student performance data in accordance to IEP. Provide therapy, follow-up, and/or consultation based on student IEPs. Make informed, timely educational recommendations/decisions.Participate in ongoing staff development to increase personal knowledge and skills.Comply with all federal, state, and local policies and procedures.Maintain appropriate, confidential records and provide timely reports.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Schools/Director of Special Education, or Administration.
