Interim VP of Quality & Safety Needed in Springfield, MA!
The Position
An Interim VP of Quality & Safety is needed to lead quality, safety, and regulatory functions across a health system with three hospitals, including an academic medical center.
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this leader will oversee a team of five direct reports.
Key responsibilities include advancing the organizations High Reliability Journey, enhancing accountability and system-wide standardization of quality dashboards, and supporting Joint Commission readiness across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate will have strong system-level leadership experience, a background in High Reliability Organizations, and a proven track record in change management. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Must be a team player with a positive attitude, capable of influencing others. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.
Requirements
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in a healthcare-related field strongly preferred.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPHQ, Lean Six Sigma) preferred.
Vice President experience in a health system/academic medical center setting with significant accomplishments in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.

Compensation Details
Compensation Range: $215,000 to $230,000 annually.
The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
