Ozzy's Golden Construction is building an elite in-house crew for luxury custom homes across South Florida. We are hiring a full-time Interior Carpenter who specializes in tile and stone setting. This person's daily work is interior construction alongside the interior crew. When tile and stone phases come up on a project -- master bathrooms, showers, feature walls, flooring; they lead that scope with precision and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

MAIN FUNCTION -- Interior Crew Carpenter

This is your daily work. You operate as a full member of the interior crew across all post-dry-in scopes:

• Metal framing (steel studs, hat channel, soffits)
• Wood framing (interior partitions, headers)
• Drywall hanging and finishing
• Interior painting (cutting in, rolling)
• Demo, prep, cleanup, and general interior support
• This is not occasional support;  it is the primary daily function of the role

SPECIALTY -- Tile & Stone Setting

When the project reaches the tile and stone phase, you lead this scope completely:

• Large-Format Porcelain Tile: 24x48 and larger. Proper substrate prep, full mortar coverage, and lippage control.
• Natural Stone: Marble, travertine, granite. Stone-specific mortars, sealing, book-matching. Material costs on our projects can exceed $50/sq ft -- precision is mandatory.
• Waterproofing: Schluter, Laticrete, or equivalent systems. Shower pans, curbs, niches, and curbless shower installations. You must own this scope completely.
• Wet Area Construction: Complete shower builds from mortar bed through membrane, tile, and grout.
• Floor Tile: Layout, pattern matching, transitions, thresholds. Clean cuts including L-cuts and curves.
• Backsplash & Accent Walls: Mosaic patterns, feature walls, and edge treatments.

Nice to haves

• Heated floor systems (electric mat installation under tile)
• Exterior tile and stone experience (pool decks, outdoor showers)
• Frameless shower door measurement and installation

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction (required)
• Minimum 3 years specifically performing luxury-grade tile and stone installation
• Must be a well-rounded interior carpenter -- able to frame, hang drywall, and paint between tile phases
• Deep knowledge of waterproofing systems (Schluter, Laticrete, or equivalent)
• Must provide photos or portfolio of tile and stone work on luxury residential projects
• Spanish fluency strongly preferred; bilingual Spanish/English is a significant advantage
• Reliable transportation required

Pay & Benefits

• Full-Time, W2 employment
• Pay: $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience and skill level
• Consistent work on luxury custom home projects
• Opportunity to grow into leadership roles
• Work directly with a Master Builder with 35+ years of experience

Schedule

• Full-time, typically Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays.
