Position Summary
The Interior Design Coordinator will assist in the completion of new construction and renovations by aiding in the design process, procuring furniture, fixtures and equipment. Assists with on campus signage, and design consistency across campus. This position will help develop, schedule, and coordinate interior design specifications and office moves for new and modified college buildings. This role would be a great match for a recent Interior Design graduate or a professional with some interior design experience, somebody who is organized and has strong attention to details. The role will be supervised by Capital Project Manager.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Pay rate: $30.88/hour - $42.49/hour
The successful candidate is expected to work 20-25 hours per week on average however when volumes increase this role might go up to 40 hours per week. Typically, new hire starts no higher than $30.88/ hour.
The temporary hourly employment is limited to the earlier of 1,050 hours or 12 consecutive months beginning from the original date of hire. Per WAC 357-04-045, following 1,050 hours or 12 consecutive months, an individual is not eligible for re-employment at Bellevue College in another temporary part-time hourly position. Temporary hourly employees who work more than three hundred fifty (350) hours in a twelve consecutive month period may be subject to provisions of one the collective bargaining agreements covering Classified employees at Bellevue College.
This position is expected to NOT be eligible for benefits because eligibility is limited only to employees working at least an average of 80 hours in eligible employment for more than 6 consecutive months and at least 8 hours a month. Some positions are eligible for certain benefits.

About the Department
The Capital Projects office is primarily responsible for the design development and maintenance of the architecture and interior spaces of Bellevue College. The project scope ranges from new buildings, to renovations of existing buildings, and to individual offices or other spaces. Capital Projects departments team is also responsible for furniture and equipment selection, design, and installation for all spaces on campus. Additionally, the office is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the campus architectural record (digital and hard-copy). For all of the above, Capital Projects is responsible for budget monitoring and other record-keeping.
