JOB SUMMARY:

Interior Installer II should be able to install cabinetry within at least two designated areas, adhering to expected safety, quality, schedule and cost requirements. Demonstrate a solid understanding of fundamental engineering and industrial practices, following established procedures and guidelines to optimize aircraft delivery to customer. Possess an advanced knowledge of CATIA software and engineering FES standards. Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude, contributing to a productive work environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Proficient in the following areas unsupervised with little or no rework: 
    • seat and carpet installation
    • fit and install bulkheads
    • fit and install sideledges
    • build baggage area
    • trim valance panel
    • locate and install inserts
    • install cabinet carcass
  • Perform proficiently applying SPQSC standards.
  • Proficient in following goals and milestones for Mod 2 installations. Independently executes installation tasks, identifies opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficient in using VSM schedules, ARP and QR processes. Independently reference VSM schedule to plan work, follow ARP procedures to address minor issues and complete QRs accurately.
  • Proficient in applying 5S+ principles to maintain a clean, organized and efficient work area. Understands the benefits of 5S+ for both individual and team productivity.
  • Embrace ACE values by consistently taking ownership of assigned tasks. Actively participates in teamwork and problem-solving. Contributes to a positive work environment by maintaining a helpful and respectful attitude.
  • Effectively communicate and interact with other employees and management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform NCR rework in assigned areas, following established procedures and engineering instructions.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of the CANN process.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area in accordance to 5S standards
  • Works in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Protect aircraft interior and exterior in accordance with the aircraft protection document and  company standards and procedures.

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

 

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production or manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to set up and operate all standard equipment or tools.
  • Good working knowledge of math and geometry with the ability to work in both metric and imperial units.
  • Effectively communicates with colleagues and team leaders. Asks questions and understands tasks and deadlines. 
  • Competent computer skills.
  • Able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must have visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors and rework.
  • Able to work with engineering and industrial definition using 2D/3D data, company standards and work instructions to build aircraft cabinet components.
  • Must be able to work with adhesives and chemicals.
  • Must be able to demonstrate required training for installations and performing of FTP’s (oxygen systems, water systems, air systems, mechanism)

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to solve practical problems
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Typical factory environment. May work in areas with high noise levels. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to work with company’s approved adhesives and chemicals 

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position because it includes as part of the essential job duties operating equipment and tools on a routine basis. Additionally, the duties of this position concern the service and completion of aircraft, and overall airworthiness of the aircraft. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety of this employee and others, the employee must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while performing safety activities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation for this position typically falls between $25.00 and $29.00 per hour/per year.  This position is or is not eligible for overtime.  This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus, shift differential or relocation assistance.  Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
