Job DescriptionWSP's Construction Materials Team is growing, and we have an opportunity for an Intermediate Construction Materials Engineer to support our Charlotte, NC or Asheville, NC location. This role will allow you to be involved in challenging projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and supports your professional career development.Your ImpactPerform testing and special inspections related to soils, reinforced concrete, and masonry on general building sites and facilitiesInterpret and monitor work procedures as per project plans and specifications for compliance with project requirementsInteract with client representatives (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sitesPrepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations in a timely mannerSupport project management tasks such as scheduling, reports review, budget tracking, invoicing, proposal writing and business developmentCollaborate and support cross‑functional teamsWork in accordance with company safety policiesPerform analysis or calculations to check the accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing dataRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering1‑3+ years of Construction Materials Testing experienceEngineer Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certificationACI Field Level I certification (concrete sampling and field testing)Valid driver's license and good driving historyReliability – must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled timesStrong written and verbal communication skillsFlexibility to work outside normal business hours as requiredMust pass physical, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policyPreferred QualificationsPhysical examination required to obtain medical clearance to workAbility to stoop, kneel and routinely lift and carry 40 poundsClean driving record and capable of being insured for driving company vehiclesAble to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or coldEqual Opportunity EmployerWSP USA (and all of its U.S. companies) is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Race/Age/Color/Religion/Sex/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/National Origin/Disability or Protected Veteran Status.The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.#J-18808-Ljbffr
