Job Description:Immediate need for an experienced Electrical Engineer for the Princeton office. Proven interest in building design and sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.
Responsibilities:- Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication plans including one-line diagrams, and specifications.
- Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash and fault current, lighting, and any other calculations to support electrical design.
- Prepare electrical construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Review electrical documents for areas of conflict.
- Ensure that design is consistent with overall vision.
- Work closely with clients and design team members.
- Participate in the selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
- Participate in preparing specifications and writing reports.
- Coordinate work with other engineers and architects.
- Attend meetings and communicate with clients.
Job Requirements:- Minimum of 5 + years professional experience in Electrical design of systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Previous electrical design experience with an AE or MEP firm.
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code and international building codes.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong initiative and willingness to succeed.
- Ability to multitask with multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to thoroughly communicate thoughts and technical ideas
- An EIT or PE license preferred but not required.
Education:Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college
