Job Description:
Immediate need for an experienced Electrical Engineer for the Princeton office. Proven interest in building design and sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities:

• Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication plans including one-line diagrams, and specifications.
• Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash and fault current, lighting, and any other calculations to support electrical design.
• Prepare electrical construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Review electrical documents for areas of conflict.
• Ensure that design is consistent with overall vision.
• Work closely with clients and design team members.
• Participate in the selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
• Participate in preparing specifications and writing reports.
• Coordinate work with other engineers and architects.
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 + years professional experience in Electrical design of systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Previous electrical design experience with an AE or MEP firm.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code and international building codes.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong initiative and willingness to succeed.
• Ability to multitask with multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to thoroughly communicate thoughts and technical ideas
• An EIT or PE license preferred but not required.

Education:
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college
