Job Description: Under general supervision, evaluates quality inspection and testing equipment documentation, inspects products, measures process performance, records data, and prepares formal records. Assists with, or conducts, inspection and testing plan field inspections on definable features of work to evaluate the work performed and materials used to complete the work. Verifies workmanship requirements, material used requirements, compliance with contract plans, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations. Documents conformance, deficiencies and deviations from plans and procedures. Documents daily logs, re-work lists, testing logs and reports, inspection reports, and other required project documentation. Conducts daily communications with project field personnel to confirm that work responsibilities performed each day are compliant with inspection and testing plans defined in the project contract terms specifications. Coordinates quality inspection and testing plans with third party inspectors and all project sub-contractors, field trade staff, and vendors. Performs other duties as required. Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of industry practices, processes, health and safety, and quality. Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills essential. Good computer skills including proficiency in MS Word and Excel; organizational skills to balance and prioritize work. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. 2 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. In addition, during employment individuals may be required by CDM Smith or a CDM Smith client to successfully complete additional background checks, including motor vehicle record as well as drug testing. Additional Compensation : All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position. Pay Range Min: USD $27.94 Pay Range Max: USD $44.71 Visa Sponsorship Available : No-We will not support sponsorship in the United States, i.e. H-1B or TN Visas for this position
