Intermissions Coordinator

Join our team as an Activities Coordinator (Intermissions Program Coordinator) to plan, develop and manage the overall operation of the Intermissions community-based social activity programs.

Compensation: Starting at $65k - Max $73k, Annual Salary includes annual merit and bonus, based on performance!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Occasional Weekends

How you will make an impact

• Partnering with Resident Life and Health Services to facilitate the effective delivery of service to participants and assessment of program outcomes
• Managing the internal marketing of the Intermissions Program to residents, families, and staff
• Coordinating acceptance of participants into the program and discontinuation of services as needed.
• Facilitating the exchange of information with residents' families, caregivers, staff, and support systems
• Educating staff and volunteers regarding residents' abilities, preferences, and program interventions
• Scheduling and documenting in-service programs for staff and volunteers

What you will need

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a geriatric setting required
• Creative & Expressive Arts background (art, dance movement, music, drama, poetry) is preferred
• Experience with the elderly, and demonstrated understanding of the dementia process and its impact on a person's ability to benefit from social activity-based programming
