Intermodal Dispatcher

Intermodal Dispatcher - Contract - Southeast Houston
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in intermodal, drayage, trucking, or transportation dispatch and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:

• Coordinate daily dispatching of drivers and container pickups/deliveries
• Schedule appointments with rail yards, terminals, and customers
• Monitor driver locations, loads, and delivery schedules
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and terminal personnel throughout the day
• Track containers and shipments to ensure timely delivery
• Handle schedule changes, delays, and other transportation issues
• Enter and maintain accurate dispatch and shipment information
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with drivers and customers

Qualifications:

• Previous intermodal, drayage, trucking, or dispatch experience preferred
• Knowledge of container and rail/terminal operations
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Dependable and able to work independently
