The Denver office has contributed to notable projects such as Meow Wolf and Sports Authority Field at Mile High, among others. This internship provides exposure to various project types, including data centers, healthcare renovations, and commercial spaces, in a diverse and inclusive work environment.Location note: This is not a remote/hybrid position and will be based in a Turner office or project location.Position timeframe: This position will be posted throughout the 2025-2026 internship recruiting year.Position Description Assist in day-to-day supervised activities related to the development of a construction project to build foundational knowledge in construction management, business and project financial management, project safety protocols, subcontractor relationships, quality control, and project coordination and lifecycle. Where applicable, assignments may support learning that applies to earning educational credits.Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities Support project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.Comprehend and follow project site signage and supervisor instructions.Provide progress reports to supervisor and learn about construction management.Relate and apply knowledge from the academic setting to work activities.Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.Comply with safety protocols, follow safety expectations, and wear appropriate PPE.Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.Assignment Details Based on the assignment, longer-term duties may include:Assist with project start-up activities and provide support to Project Engineer, Project Superintendent, and/or Project Manager.Assist with collection and review of information and approvals for processing shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.Assist with preparation and distribution of information for contract requirements to appropriate parties.Assist with preparation of estimates for changes in work from subcontractors.Attend project site visits to observe and document construction field activities.Assist with preparation of correspondence and communication to Architects, Engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.Assist with communication to trades and subcontractors to understand and track job schedules.Assist with monitoring contractor compliance with Turner's safety program.Assist with preparation of quantity take-offs and studies for project items using traditional or computer-aided methods.Request and distribute subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work.Assist with project close-out preparations.Salary The salary range for this position is estimated to be 22.00 USD annualized.Benefits Turner Construction offers flexible benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) plan; Health Savings Account; Flexible Spending Account; wellness benefits; voluntary legal plan; identity theft protection; life insurance; and short-term and long-term disability coverage. Paid vacation, wellness/sick time, holidays, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, employee referral bonuses, and end-of-year appreciation pay are also provided.Qualifications Enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program, or in a Co-op program; minimum 1 year of completed education or equivalent experience; majors may include Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.Must be 18 years of age to work at a construction site.Desire to work in construction management and to learn about the construction industry.Commitment to standard business hours and overtime as determined by assignment.Demonstrate interpersonal skills including leadership, volunteerism, or other community involvement.Professional and clear verbal and written communication in English.Ability to read and comprehend written information.Take personal and professional accountability for actions; proactive and eager to learn.Able to work independently with supervision and in a team environment.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions.
