We look forward to you being a vital part of our journey in shaping the future of healthcare.POSITION SUMMARYThe Accounting & Finance Intern is responsible for supporting the Accounting Department with reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end close activities under supervision. This internship provides structured training, professional development, and exposure to core financial operations of multiple ambulatory surgery center facilities. The role reports to the Senior Accountant or Manager – Facility Accounting.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssist in preparation of journal entries under staff guidancePerform reconciliations for assigned accounts, including cash, prepaid assets, and fixed assetsSupport monthly expense review and basic variance explanationsContribute to P&L and budget-to-actual analysisAssist in preparing financial reporting packagesParticipate in documentation of policies, procedures, and process improvement projectsSupport other departments on finance-related requests as assignedEngage in training, mentorship, and professional development activitiesAbility to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment.Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
