Intern, Actuarial (Summer 2027)

F&G is hiring Actuarial Interns for our Summer 2027 Internship Program. This position’s primary responsibility is to support the various actuarial teams for Fidelity and Guaranty Life. The internships will fall under the following departments: Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Valuation, Corporate, Modeling, and Pricing & Design (Annuity, Life, and/or Institutional Products).

As a Actuarial Intern, the range of tasks to be performed may include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Apply actuarial principles to analyze results, with direction from manager
• Use various technical tools to accomplish work within the team’s functional area, such as Microsoft Excel, VBA, SQL, R, and AXIS actuarial modeling software
• Produce files and result summaries that are professional and communicate information effectively
• Occasionally present summaries of work to internal audiences
• Manage assigned tasks and projects to completion
• Create or maintain process documentation and instructions for tasks performed
• Actively participate in summer internship activities to learn about the actuarial profession and other teams at F&G

Experience & Education Requirements

• Working towards bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related technical field
• 1-3 actuarial exams passed preferred, with an interest in pursuing FSA
• Prior exposure to Fixed Indexed Annuity, Universal Life, Pension Risk Transfer, or similar insurance products preferred but not required
• Exposure to AXIS or similar actuarial modeling software preferred
