    OVERVIEW

    Intern - Property & Casualty
    Location: Onsite | Columbia, South Carolina

    At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future. We're seeking a Intern who will support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy.

    This role will focus on risk management- broadly, client servicing, claims support, sales growth and collaborate with producers, account managers, carriers, clients, internal operations teams.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    What You'll Do / Your ImpactClient Partnership & Service Excellence
    • Learn commercial insurance workflows, coverages, client service processes, and industry best practices
    • Support service teams while gaining exposure to client service activities and insurance operations
    Operational & Compliance Excellence
    • Participate in structured training focused on agency systems, procedures, technology platforms, and operational standards
    • Develop an understanding of documentation, workflows, and agency processes that support client success
    Growth & Retention
    • Explore career opportunities within Property & Casualty and other business areas
    • Develop communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills while working alongside experienced professionals

    QUALIFICATIONS

    What You BringRequired
    • Current undergraduate student
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    Preferred
    • Interest in insurance, risk management, business, finance, or related fields
    • Previous internship, customer service, or professional experience
    • Interest in obtaining an insurance license

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    Compensation:

    $18.00 per hour.
