Job Description:

Intern, Corporate Affairs

Are you curious about how communications shape brands, build reputations and influence business? Do you enjoy writing, researching emerging trends and collaborating with teams to bring ideas to life?

As an Intern, Corporate Affairs at Zeno, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting integrated communications programs for leading companies across a variety of industries. Working alongside experienced communications professionals, you'll contribute to client work, develop new skills and gain exposure to the fast-paced world of corporate communications.

This internship is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of media relations, content development, research and integrated communications while building a strong foundation for a career in public relations.

About the Role:

  • Client & Team Support: Support day-to-day client programs by collaborating with account teams, contributing to deliverables and helping ensure projects stay organized and on track.

  • Research & Communications Insights: Conduct research on industries, companies, competitors and media trends to support client programs, strategic recommendations and new business opportunities.

  • Content Development: Draft and edit communications materials including media pitches, press releases, fact sheets, briefing materials, social content and presentations.

  • Media Relations & Social Media: Support media relations efforts by developing media lists, monitoring coverage, researching journalists and assisting with outreach across business, technology and other industries. Contribute to social media content development and community management as appropriate.

  • Events & Program Execution: Assist with event planning, logistics and on-site support while helping coordinate materials and vendor communications for client initiatives.

  • Professional Development & Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across teams, participate in brainstorms and training opportunities, and build foundational skills in corporate communications, media relations and integrated marketing.

About You:

  • Strong interest in public relations, corporate communications, journalism, marketing or a related field.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong research, writing and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Curious, proactive and eager to learn new skills and contribute to team success.

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Interest in media, business news, communications trends and storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship, campus leadership or relevant communications experience.

  • Experience creating content for social media, student organizations or other digital platforms.

  • Familiarity with media monitoring, communications or social listening tools is a plus.

Pay Rate: $18.00 USD/hr.

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
