Title: Intern, Defense & Commercial InnovationTimeline: September through December, 2026Hours: 10 to 15 per week, scheduled around your class commitments
Who we are:FedTech is a professional services firm focused on venture creation, acceleration, and startup advisory services. We design and run deep tech commercialization programs across defense, climate, and commercial sectors.
About this internship:You’ll build practical skills in project management, research, and stakeholder engagement while gaining exposure to the defense market in a supportive, mission-driven environment focused on your professional growth.
What you’ll do:
- Support the team with early-stage companies supporting defense and national security focused programs.
- Assist with research to identify and source potential startups, mentors, and resources for startups.
- Support projects/project managers by coordinating tasks, timelines, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
- Assist with outreach and content creation to support program needs.
- Assist with professional development engagements and building relationships with stakeholders.
- Thrive in a creative, collaborative environment, contributing to strategy and problem-solving while adapting to dynamic startup needs.
What we are looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program
- Good academic standing (3.0 GPA or equivalent)
- Passionate about technology and defense innovation
- Strong writing and comfort talking with people you have not met before
- Comfortable picking up new software quickly, including AI tools. You do not need prior experience with any specific platform.
- Organized and reliable with deadlines
- You do not need prior defense or startup experience. If you meet most of the above and are curious about this work, apply.

Work authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pay: $25/hourLocation: Candidates based in the DC area with the ability to come into our HQ at Arlington, VA as needed
Employment Type: Part-time, W2. This is a temporary part-time position and is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits
