Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Intern for the Engineering Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT). The Intern will be assigned to the Evaluation of Best Practices in Material Management, Efficiency, and Capital Plan Delivery project under the direction of Principal Investigator Ali Maher, PhD. They will work with CAIT project managers to support tasks.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Supports document review and summarization of STB filings and merger-related materials.
  • Prepares meeting notes.
  • Formats presentations and executive briefing materials related to Rapid Action Plan (RAP) development and implementation.
  • Assists with scheduling and coordination, conduct basic research, and other tasks within the project.

FLSA Nonexempt Salary Details $17 per hour Offer Information

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Government, Communications, Infrastructure Planning, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting administrative coordination, document management, presentation preparation, or project-related activities with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills, with the ability to track workflows and ensure completion of tasks.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and presentation or design software, including the ability to organize information and prepare professional materials.
