    Job Description:

    Test Engineer Intern will work with test engineers to support the development and production testing of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products within the Analog Power and Interface Division (APID) business unit. The intern will gain hands-on experience with semiconductor test development, characterization, data analysis, hardware design, and automated test equipment (ATE) used in wafer sort and final test environments.

    This internship provides an opportunity to learn industry-standard practices for validating and testing integrated circuits such as:

    • Buck and boost regulators
    • LDO regulators
    • CAN/LIN interface devices
    • Power management ICs
    • Mixed-signal and embedded devices

    Key Responsibilities

    Test Development Support

    • Assist engineers in developing production and characterization test solutions for analog and mixed-signal products.
    • Support creation and review of device test plans and electrical test requirements.
    • Participate in debug activities on first silicon and engineering samples.
    • Help document test procedures and characterization methodologies.

    Hardware Development

    • Support hardware bring-up and debug activities.
    • Perform bench measurements using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes/digital multimeters/power supplies/signal generators among others)

    Software and Automation

    • Support in developing scripts/software utilities to automate testing
    • Assist in maintaining and enhancing automated test programs.
    • Support data logging and report generation activities.

    Characterization and Data Analysis

    • Execute characterization experiments under engineer supervision.
    • Analyze electrical performance data
    • Generate plots, summaries, and engineering reports.
    • Help identify yield, correlation, and performance trends.

    Manufacturing and Product Support

    • Assist in test program validation and release activities.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Computer Engineering

    • Electronics Engineering

    • Related Engineering Discipline

    • Basic understanding of:

    • Semiconductor fundamentals

    • Analog circuits

    • Electronic measurements

    • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and test techniques.

    • Basic programming experience in one or more of the following:

    • Python

    • C/C++

    • MATLAB

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
