Intern, Expense Reporting and Analysis - Summer, 2027

Summary 

Join F&G as a Summer 2027 intern and gain relevant experience, professional development and incredible networking at a growing company. Expense Reporting & Analysis is responsible for the company-wide Expense Management functions within the Financial Planning and Analysis Department. The Expense Reporting and Analysis Intern will perform a variety of tasks to assist in preparation of the expense close, analysis and related reporting.

Organization 

The Intern will report to the Lead Financial Analyst, Expense Reporting and Analysis. The department interacts very actively with the various functional areas in the company to obtain input for analysis, forecasting and reporting of expenses and to provide insights for improvements in expense efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

The range of tasks to be performed may include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Assisting with Operating Expense reporting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Preparing reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts and other financial data
• Preparing journal entries and supporting analysis
• Preparing fixed assets and accrual entries, reconciliations, and analysis
• Assisting with monthly headcount reconciliations and reporting
• Assisting with preparation of annual budgets
• Assisting with ad hoc requests, special projects and other duties related to financial reporting and analysis
• Other duties related to Expense Reporting and Analysis, as assigned.

Experience and Education

• Accounting or Finance degree major
• Completed Sophomore year of higher education
• GPA of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale) within major
• Interest in a career within financial services industry preferred

• Ability to create complete and accurate documentation of work performed
