Job Summary 

Under close supervision, this position conducts a variety of GIS data editing tasks; may prepare maps, charts, graphs, or spreadsheets; assists with data validation and cleanup of CORE facility data within the GIS.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses ESRI ArcGIS software to draft maps, perform data editing, and assist in data validation and cleanup.
  • Performs clerical functions, which may include assisting in the preparation of reports, maintenance of various records, files, or databases.

Minimum Qualifications of Position

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program related to GIS, geography, computer science or equivalent is required. 
  • Requires valid Colorado driver’s license with satisfactory driving record within CORE standards.
  • Competent with ESRI ArcGIS PRO 3.x is required. 
  • Competent with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Competent with general office equipment.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).
