POSITION PURPOSE / IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION
The Intern II - Under general supervision of the Utilities Supervisor, the Intern II supports the Utilities and Engineering Division by assisting with data management, asset inventory, field data collection, and basic engineering-related project tasks. Work includes updating utility system records, supporting GIS and asset management workflows, assisting with condition assessments for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, and preparing reports and documentation. This is a safety sensitive position.
This internship is expected to last one year and may be extended based on organizational needs. This is a temporary, non-benefited position. The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is constantly performed indoors and outdoors with constant exposure to extreme temperatures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts and high-speed rotating equipment; work is performed in high and precarious places with exposure to wet or humid conditions, fumes, and/or airborne particles.
Required Materials and Equipment
Operates light equipment such as hand and power tools, gas detectors, air compressors, air blowers, tripods, vacuums, mops, floor machines, brooms, and cleaning materials and agents. Depending on the project, may also utilize small tools such as hammers, shovels, saws, measuring tape, levels, drills, and power tools to complete assigned responsibilities.
