The internship role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to support/promote the graduates career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities for VFS by working on important and innovative projects. Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full time professionals work together on projects within their selected organization. The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and VFS./ppstrongResponsibilities/strong/ppThis position will primarily be project based and will work with internal counsel responsible for providing legal support on a wide array of commercial finance matters in the transportation industry. Day to day activities will include legal research and writing and assisting with various legal matters while interacting directly with the members of the Legal Department as well as internal clients throughout the business. Additional projects will include updating a state GAP law survey and assisting with negotiated commercial transactions. The Legal Intern must be available to work for a minimum of 10 weeks.
