The Role:
Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, works with Manufacturing Engineers to determine the most effective methods to increase productivity and maximize efficiency by eliminating wastefulness in production processes. Devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials and information in the manufacture of products. Depending on job performance and company needs, this could turn into a full-time position at time of graduation.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or Engineering student with three plus years completed course work towards major with three years relevant experience and/or training.
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
AutoCAD and Inventor experience with Solid Modeling and 3D design experience preferred. Familiar with manufacturing processes such as heavy equipment manufacturing, welding technology, control panel, materials technology, manufacturing methods technology preferred.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
