Position Summary The Rivers Casino and Resort Marketing Internship Program is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful and practical work experience related to a students education or chosen career path. Job Title: Intern Marketing Department: Marketing Reports To: Director Marketing FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt License Level: Gaming Rate of Pay: $17.00/hour During this internship, students will gain knowledge and practical experience in the following areas of Marketing: - Marketing - Entertainment - Advertising & Social Media - Promotions and Events - Database Marketing - Players Club Essential Job Functions - Learn and apply in a friendly and professional manner basic Players Club functions, including but limited to player cards sign-up, data entry, and customer information updates. - Learn and execute promotions based on our rules and procedures to ensure compliance. - Learn and execute special events based on procedures to ensure flawless outcome. - Learn and understand company brand standards and Gaming procedures. - Learn and apply company brand standards in social media posts. - Assist in Advertising workflow processes, requesting jobs, proofing, and approving. - Learn inventory and cost controls for each department. - Participate in department brainstorming sessions. - A project will be assigned during internship and must be concluded by the end of the internship and may include some or all of the following: - Research - Advertising or marketing strategies - Learning about competitors - Figuring out better systems or processes - Creating a presentation - Final review of internship Qualifications - Must be 21 years or older. - Current or recent enrollment in graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in marketing or related field. - Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously. - Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite. - Students majoring in Marketing or Advertising preferred. - Use mathematical skills to interpret financial information. - Ability to analyze and interpret established policies and procedures. - Deal with the general public, customers, associates, and government officials with tact and courtesy. - Complete all assigned tasks, reports, projects, etc. in a professional manner and on an on-time basis. Working Conditions - Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of objects. - Prolonged period of sitting, standing, and walking. - Regularly required to see, talk, and hear; use of manual dexterity including reaching, handling, and feeling. - Exposure to high noise level for prolonged periods of time. - Rotating schedules based on business needs.
