Campbell Ave Health Center

 

Location: 3385 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719

 

Hours: Tuesday through Friday, 5 - 8pm, and Weekend (Saturday 9am - 2pm)

 

Under the supervision of a qualified Terros Health professional; the student-intern will perform tasks related to their specific area of study and the Intern learning Contract. In a highly professional healthcare setting provided by Terros Health; the student will be given an opportunity to apply, and continue to learn by practical application the principles, theory, and knowledge from their related coursework.

 

The intern will support clinical activities, including but not limited to:

• Assessments • Treatment plan updates • Group facilitation • Individual therapeutic interventions • Case management

These internships will receive a well-rounded experience in the behavioral health field during this time.

 

Upon completion of the program, the student will have learned:

• Complete assessments for AZ Families FIRST referred participants • Update Treatment Plans for AFF participants • Facilitate group therapy • Facilitate individual therapy • Conduct case management activities for engagement/re-engagement into treatment

Interns will be able to demonstrate clinical skills to successfully move forward with academic and professional goals.

 

Applicant Requirements:

• Ability to engage with Terros Health management team for training • Ability to learn clinical skills needed to engage clients professionally • Professional boundaries • Computer skills, including but not limited to: • Microsoft Word • Excel • Outlook email • NextGen EHR systems • Currently enrolled in a supervised field instruction class • Graduate level (i.e. Social Work, Counseling) • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills • Strong presentation skills are highly desired • Knowledge of Microsoft Office • Completion of the pre-student/Intern/Practicum onboarding process as determined solely at the discretion of Terros Health, which may include: • A criminal background check • A pre-employment drug screen • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
