United States No Clearance Needed Fully remote Financial Analysis **Overview** GovCIO is currently hiring for an intern to support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities within the National Security Sector by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, spend plans, procurement tracking, and financial reporting. The intern will gain hands-on experience working alongside finance and operational teams supporting government and national security programs while developing practical business, analytical, and financial management skills related to their pursuit of a finance degree. This position will be a remote position. **Responsibilities** + Assist with development and maintenance of program budgets, forecasts, and spend plans + Support procurement tracking and financial analysis for technology, subcontractor, and operational expenditures + Help monitor actual costs against budgets and identify variances, trends, and financial risks + Assist FP&A analysts with monthly reporting packages and leadership dashboards + Support financial planning activities tied to government contracts and mission support operations + Conduct research and analysis to support operational and strategic business decisions + Assist with labor tracking, indirect cost analysis, and resource planning activities + Help improve reporting efficiency through data organization, automation, and analytical tools + Collaborate with finance, contracts, procurement, program management, and operational teams + Participate in special projects supporting growth, forecasting accuracy, and business analytics initiatives **Qualifications** Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor-s degree or higher - Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident - Completed coursework or pursuing or a degree in the area(s) related to the internship Required Skills and Experience + Clearance Required: None + Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field + Strong interest in FP&A, government contracting, national security, or corporate finance + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Skills and Experience + Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills + Ability to work with sensitive financial and operational information professionally + Excellent communication and attention to detail **Posted Salary Range** USD $20.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr. **Company Overview** GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
