About the role - you will:

We are looking for a motivated intern to support Seagate's business development work across China's emerging Physical AI ecosystem - including robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, embodied AI, vision AI, and industrial edge. This is an early-career opportunity to learn how a global technology company creates new markets and builds ecosystem partnerships before requirements are fixed.

Working alongside the China BD lead, the intern will help research the market, map the ecosystem, prepare engagement materials, and capture insights that shape Seagate's product, architecture, and growth strategy. It is an ideal role for a student who is curious about AI, storage infrastructure, and how technology moves from the lab into real-world deployment.

1) Market Research & Ecosystem Mapping

• Research China Physical AI segments - robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, embodied and vision AI - and summarize key players, trends, and use cases.
• Help build and maintain ecosystem maps covering customers, partners, OEMs, startups, and research institutions.
• Track emerging areas where data creation, storage, and retention needs may drive future infrastructure demand.

2) Business Development Support

• Prepare briefing materials, customer profiles, and presentations to support partner and customer engagements.
• Assist with meeting preparation, note-taking, and follow-up actions for BD activities.
• Help organize ecosystem events, workshops, and customer visits.

3) Insight & Cross-Team Collaboration

• Turn research and customer learnings into clear, structured summaries for the BD and marketing teams.
• Support the team in translating China ecosystem signals into product, architecture, and market intelligence input.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Architecture, and global BD contacts to share findings.

About you:

• Strong interest in AI, robotics, autonomous systems, or emerging technology markets.
• Proactive, curious, collaborative, and able to work with cross-functional teams.

Your experience includes:

• Current student (Bachelor's or Master's) in engineering, computer science, business, marketing, or a related field.
• Good research, analysis, and communication skills; comfortable preparing clear summaries and slides.
• Fluent in Mandarin and professional English.

Beijing / Shanghai / Shenzhen / Hangzhou preferred; other China locations considered for exceptional candidates
