VACANT POSITION Intern Summer - Park Ranger Job Purpose To provide community information and tours to visitors maintain litter control orderliness and safety to the Citys parks. Follows route to perform scheduled checks of City parks on a daily basis. Looks for litter vandalism lighting and safety issues reports needed maintenance repairs. Enforces park rules as needed. Inspects restrooms and buildings for cleanliness. Greets park visitors explains regulations and points of interest. Ensures all facilities are locked according to schedule. Provides security support for the Heath Pavilion Palmetto Tennis Center Swan Lake Visitors Center skateboard park and Hope Centers as needed. Works the Citys special events as needed. Maintains park logs stocks brochures and keeps inventory of first aid supplies. Must be willing to work nights weekends andor holidays. Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities Must be CPR certified or the ability to obtain CPR certification within 2 months of hire. Ability to work with the public. Minimum Qualifications High school student college student or recent graduate at least 1 8 years old . Must p ossess a valid S.C. drivers license. Must be able to pass a CJIS background check.
