Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week required)

Duration: Contract - 11 months

Job Description

We are seeking an Internal Cloud Release Manager to govern the end-to-end release lifecycle for an internal cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise release management, CI/CD integration, and Agile/SAFe tooling and a proven ability to plan, coordinate, and promote infrastructure and platform changes safely and predictably.

Responsibilities:

  • Own release governance, standards, cadence, and readiness criteria for the internal cloud platform.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute releases from development through production promotion.
  • Manage inter-team dependencies across engineering, operations, security, and product.
  • Maintain release calendars, enforce readiness, and coordinate change windows.
  • Integrate CI/CD outputs and automation workflows into controlled production releases.
  • Ensure stability, auditability, and compliance within regulated environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years managing release lifecycles for enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, or shared services.
  • Expertise in release management, change management, and dependency coordination in complex, multi-team settings.
  • Hands-on use of Jira and Agile/SAFe tooling with release tracking for large backlogs.
  • Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
  • Proven operation within regulated environments with required change controls and audits.
  • Primary Skill: Release Train Engineer (RTE). Secondary Skill: DevOps. Tertiary Skill: Agile tools (Jira).

Preferred Skills:

  • SAFe RTE, ITIL Change Management, or equivalent certification.
  • 5-7+ years supporting infrastructure or cloud platform releases at enterprise scale.
  • Experience with VMware-based platforms, internal clouds, or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Ability to define release standards, readiness criteria, and governance frameworks.
  • Background in financial services or similarly regulated industries.

  • Local candidates only. Hybrid schedule with three onsite days per week in Chandler, AZ.
