Job Title: Internal Communications Manager (Change Management & Culture Transformation)
Location: Hybrid Pittsburgh, PA 15275 (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Internal Communications Manager to lead and execute strategic internal communication initiatives supporting a large-scale culture transformation program. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role ideal for a communications professional with expertise in organizational change, executive communications, employee engagement, and culture activation within a complex global organization.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple workstreams, collaborating with senior leadership, HR, Marketing, and business stakeholders, while driving adoption of enterprise-wide initiatives through impactful communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive internal communication plans supporting enterprise culture and change initiatives.
Create engaging content across multiple communication channels, including SharePoint intranet, email campaigns, executive presentations, leadership messaging, digital signage, newsletters, video scripts, and town hall communications.
Partner closely with HR, Marketing, Communications, and business leaders to ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
Prepare executive communication materials including talking points, FAQs, speeches, leadership updates, and presentation content.
Equip managers and leaders with communication toolkits, messaging guides, and enablement resources to effectively communicate organizational initiatives.
Build and manage internal ambassador/champion networks to increase employee engagement and program adoption.
Support employee recognition and engagement programs using rewards and recognition platforms.
Monitor communication effectiveness through engagement metrics, analytics, and reporting.
Identify communication gaps and recommend improvements throughout change initiatives.
Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Journalism, or related field.
5+ years of Internal Communications, Corporate Communications, or Change Communications experience.
Proven experience supporting organizational change management and culture transformation initiatives.
Experience working within large, complex, matrixed global organizations.
Strong executive communication experience supporting senior leadership.
Excellent written, verbal, editing, and storytelling skills.
Experience creating communications across digital, written, and multimedia formats.
Experience developing manager communication toolkits and leadership enablement materials.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience using Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Life Sciences, Engineering, Technology, Healthcare, Professional Services, or other B2B industries.
Experience working with global teams or international stakeholders.
Background in employee engagement, culture transformation, or organizational development.
Familiarity with employee recognition and rewards platforms.
Experience measuring communication effectiveness using engagement analytics.
Interest in long-term employment opportunities (contract-to-hire preferred).
