ResponsibilitiesOwn and expand internal communications across all business units, building structured programs that help leaders engage and align their teamsIdentify gaps in the current internal comms landscape and design net-new programs, from concept through execution, that meet the evolving needs of a fast-growing, cross-functional organizationPartner closely with business unit leaders and chiefs of staff to develop and execute communications strategies, including AMAs, leadership updates, and mission‑critical announcementsDrive the strategy and execution of company‑wide channels, including all‑hands meetings, AMAs, internal newsletters, and Slack channels, to ensure employees feel informed and connected to Scale's directionDevelop a cohesive internal communications framework that ladders up to CEO and executive messaging, helping employees understand business performance, company milestones, and strategic prioritiesAct as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on how to communicate with and inspire their teams, improving leader visibility and employee engagement across the organizationBuild and maintain measurement frameworks (e.g., pulse surveys, engagement metrics) to assess program impact and continuously improve internal comms effectivenessCollaborate with the broader Communications team on crisis, policy, and corporate storytelling as needed, ensuring internal and external narratives are alignedQualifications6+ years of experience in internal communications, with a proven track record of building and scaling programs at a fast‑growing technology companyDemonstrated experience advising and partnering with senior leaders and executives on communications strategy, with the ability to influence without authorityStrong program management skills and the ability to build repeatable, scalable processes across a large, cross‑functional organizationExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse internal audiencesNice to HavesExperience working in a high‑growth technology companyFamiliarity with internal comms tools and platforms (e.g., Slack, intranet systems, survey tools) programming, and data‑driven approaches to measuring communication effectivenessExperience supporting CEO or executive‑level communications in a fast‑paced environmentCompensationBase salary range for this full‑time position in San Francisco and New York is $151,200 – $189,000 USD.
