Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. One year of collection experience, customer service or sales experience is required. Completion of college coursework may substitute for the required work experience on a year for year basis.

The Internal Compliance Department Collection Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily telephone collections and walk-in assistance for delinquent accounts assigned to the Credit and Collection Division for collecting the debt owed to departments within Miami-Dade County. This position entails negotiating repayment, processing online payments, reviewing debt related documents for compliance, validity of the debt, and documenting any received bankruptcy and deceased notices. Other responsibilities include referring accounts to internal support personnel for lien review and placement, reviewing letters to be sent to debtors for debtor contact. This position has an established minimum collection goal of $20K monthly, as well as daily standards to ensure productivity. This job requires in-person work, located in the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, 26th Floor, in Downtown Miami.
