End Date/Duration: Open-ended, long-term commitment preferred
Shift: Clinic 5 days/week (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), hospital rotation every 5-6 weeks
Hours/Week: 40 hours/week
Employment Type: Full-Time, locum tenens
Licenses/Certifications: Active supervising license to oversee PAs; Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Cardiology
Experience: Prior inpatient and outpatient cardiology experience preferred
Pay & Benefits
Pay Rate: $1.00 per hour
Benefits Include: Weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), robust referral bonus program, licensure and certification reimbursements, travel reimbursement where applicable, paid sick time, and malpractice insurance
What You’ll Do
Provide inpatient care and rounds during hospital rotations
Conduct outpatient cardiology clinics with follow-up care
Perform and interpret diagnostic studies related to cardiology
Communicate effectively with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams
Manage patient follow-ups and coordinate care across testing and imaging teams
Supervise and support Physician Assistants as needed
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and consultation services
What You Need
Valid, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Cardiology
Supervision license to oversee Physician Assistants
Minimum of 3+ years of cardiology experience preferred
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
