What You’ll Do

• Perform scheduled colonoscopies on a Monday through Friday basis
• Conduct inpatient consultations based on overnight GI service needs
• Follow scheduled procedures within the GI lab to meet increased patient demand
• Collaborate with midlevel providers doing pre/post workups and patient care planning
• Contribute to the delivery of complex GI patient services in a busy hospital environment
• Assist during procedures and manage inpatient GI cases as needed

What You Need
Required:

• Medical license in Texas or ability to obtain one
• Experience performing colonoscopies and inpatient GI consultations
• Strong procedural skills and clinical knowledge in gastroenterology

Preferred:

• Previous locum tenens or hospital-based GI experience
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume setting

This short-term locum position supports a busy hospitalist service and gastroenterology department facing increased demand following the departure of a full-time provider. The role provides critical coverage to ensure ongoing patient care, especially during provider vacations, CME, or scheduling conflicts.
