Job Summary:

Join our dynamic Internal Medicine Residency Program at HCA Medical City Healthcare in Arlington as a Chief Medical Resident/ Junior Faculty. This one-year leadership role combines education, patient care, and program administration—ideal for physicians interested in academic medicine, leadership development, and fellowship preparation.


Qualified Candidates:
  • Successful completion/graduation at an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program and is in good academic standing by June 30, 2026.
  • The candidate must not currently be engaged in a Match agreement with another program through the 2026 Match cycle.
  • Active BLS and ACLS certification is required.
  • Active Texas Medical License and DEA License is required.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities
Clinical
  • Supervise residents and students in the primary care outpatient or inpatient internal medicine clinic
  • Supervise residents and students on the inpatient ward service (once a month, if needed)
Educational
  • Teach residents in formal didactic settings, including morning report, simulation lab, and board review lecture series
Administrative
  • Participate in recruitment, program improvement, schedules, coaching/mentoring, administrative meetings, and resident promotion

The program is approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for 90 Internal Medicine residents and currently has six PGY-3 chief residents managing day-to-day rotation schedules and didactics.
