Description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Internal Medicine Associates Clinical Manager
  • Location: Internal Medicine Associates of the Grand Valley (683 28 1/4 Rd)

 

Responsibilities:

Clinical Operations Management:

  • Coordinate patient scheduling, triage, and clinic workflow to optimize efficiency and patient access.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary medical equipment, supplies, and resources for patient care.
  • Oversee infection control measures and adherence to safety protocols.

 

Staff Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, hire, and train clinic staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative support staff.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment conducive to teamwork and professional growth.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Facilitate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care as needed.
  • Coordinate care transitions and communication between healthcare providers and patients.

 

Quality Improvement Initiatives:

  • Monitor clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and quality indicators.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

 

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in internal medicine.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Implement policies and procedures to safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy.

 

Risk Management:

  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and emergency preparedness measures.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and education for clinic staff on risk management practices.

 

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the clinic's budget and productivity, including revenue projections and expense monitoring.
  • Optimize revenue cycle management processes, including billing, coding, and reimbursement.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and third-party payers to maximize financial performance.

 

Technology Integration:

  • Evaluate and implement technological solutions to enhance clinic operations, such as electronic health records and telemedicine platforms.
  • Ensure proper utilization of diagnostic equipment and medical imaging systems.

 

Community Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians, hospitals, and community organizations.
  • Participate in outreach activities and educational initiatives to promote awareness of internal medicine services and preventive care.

 

Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Clinical background in nursing or allied health field is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in internal medicine or a related area.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality improvement principles.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health records systems.

 

Compensation:

  • $34.00 - $39.10 per hour, depending on education and experience.
  • Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.

  • Relocation: Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work.
