    Re: Mentor Educators - School Year 2026 - 2027

The position below is brought to the attention of all licensed educators at the George Elementary School. This position is a one-year appointment. After reviewing the 26-27 mentor job ad below, please apply through the Microsoft link below.

Description: The district is seeking qualified educators to serve as mentors in a one-year appointment. Candidates must be DESE licensed educators with at least six years of successful experience, including three years in Brockton, and be recommended by a principal or immediate supervisor. Interest in or experience mentoring new educators is preferred. Mentors commit approximately 20-30 minutes per week supporting a first-year educator, collaborate with building administrators, and provide instructional and professional guidance. Please note the following revision from last year''s mentor program; all accepted mentors will be required to attend a mandatory Mentor Professional Development Day on August 18, 2026. Mentor/Mentee matches will be prioritized based on licensure and role above all other factors. If a match cannot be made based on licensure, consideration will then be given to grade level alignment and physical proximity of mentor/mentee. In the event that an exact match cannot be made, hired Mentors are expected to remain flexible and open to supporting mentees who may not hold the same license.
