Early Reading Success Program (Pay Rate: $42/per hour per BEA contract)
The 2026 Bridgeport Public Schools' Early Reading Success Program will provide intensive accelerated assistance in reading for students in Grades K-3 who are identified as being at risk.
Early Reading Success Locations: • Blackham • Batalla • Claytor • Cross • Discovery Magnet • High Horizons • Johnson • Marin • Read • Roosevelt • Tisdale • Waltersville
Teachers Teachers will provide instruction for in reading for students in Grades K-3 who are identified as being at risk. Elementary certification preferred.
Teacher Leaders Teacher leaders will support the summer school program by performing duties including but not limited to: • Attendance • Material distribution • Record keeping • Communication • Coordination
Literacy Coaches Literacy coaches to work closely with ERS teachers to provide targeted reading assistance in the summer school program. Priority will be given to certification endorsements 102 or 097.

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Training Date: TBD (Prior to end of school year)
Summer School Dates: Monday-Thursday June 29-July 2, 2026 Monday-Thursday July 6-9, 2026 Monday-Thursday July 13-16, 2026 Monday-Thursday July 20-23, 2026
