Job Overview At TE, the Internal Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the internal Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations. This role focuses on internal audits, process improvement, corrective actions, and cross-functional support to ensure product and process quality throughout the organization.
This role will be onsite at our Mansfield, OH location and is within our Aerospace Defense and Marine business unit.
Key Responsibilities include • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, etc.). • Plan, conduct, and report internal audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. • Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Why Fishbone). • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Review and approve internal procedures, work instructions, and quality records. • Support MRB (Material Review Board) activities and ensure proper disposition of nonconforming products. • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program teams to ensure quality requirements are met. • Assist with customer regulatory and third-party audits. • Support risk management activities, including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and process risk assessments. • Promote a culture of quality compliance and continuous improvement across the organization.
What Your Background Should Look Like
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field. 2 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry. Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements. Experience conducting internal audits and managing corrective action processes. Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications AS9100 Internal Auditor certification. Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes, machining, assembly, special processes. Familiarity with configuration management and document control. Experience working with customer quality requirements and audits.

Working Conditions Office and manufacturing floor environment. Occasional travel may be required to support audits or supplier activities.

COMPENSATION • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience ($82,700 - $124,000) subject to change dependent on physical location. • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience, qualification of the selected candidate, as well as internal and external equity. • Total Compensation: Base Salary + Incentives + Benefits
