Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The International Admissions Manager works with the Senior Associate Director of International Admissions to support the recruitment, evaluation, and enrollment of international undergraduate students by providing comprehensive advising, application review, and operational coordination.

This role serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and admitted international students and their families, delivering timely guidance on admissions processes, requirements, and enrollment steps. The position ensures the accurate and compliant review of international and specialized program applications while maintaining alignment with institutional policies and partner program standards.

Additionally, the role upholds data integrity across admissions systems, facilitates collaboration with campus and external partners, and contributes to recruitment and yield initiatives that advance the university's international enrollment goals.

The International Admissions Manager will periodically participate in recruiting activities as needed, including attending on- and off-campus recruitment events.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer experience with increasing levels of responsibility in college or university admissions.
  • Knowledge of Technolutions Slate CRM and/or Ellucian Banner student information system desired.
  • Prior experience in international admissions and evaluating international credentials preferred.
  • Ability to work with different populations while understanding and appreciating the cultural background of international applicants is preferred.
  • Able to speak more than one language is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to tactfully and appropriately counsel applicants and their families, negotiate with and persuade others, and effectively present to both large and small groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as a member of a team, maintaining a customer-friendly, positive attitude, and cultivating and managing key relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • General knowledge of the college admissions process and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel overnight on occasion, both nationally and internationally, for recruitment purposes.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Advise and counsel prospective international students on the admission and enrollment process. Respond to international inquiries and provide status updates to international applicants via phone or email. Manage the shared international admissions inbox and delegate email assignments. Meet one-on-one with international students and their families on campus as needed.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty

Serve as a point of contact for the International Student and Scholar Support office as well as the International Accelerator Program. Ensure applicant files and decisions adhere to the guidelines and timetables set by the appropriate office or program and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Review and evaluate international degree-seeking applications and Verto Bridge applications, including freshmen and transfer applicants. Process International Accelerator Program (IAP) and English Programs for Internationals (EPI) applications and make appropriate admissions decisions.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty

Ensure accurate entry of international application, evaluation, and review data in Slate. Manage material and data cleanup processes to ensure accuracy between Slate, Banner, and external data sources. Assist with completing special projects as needed.

Assist with on- and off-campus events as needed, including counselor breakfasts, prospective student information sessions, open houses, scholarship interviews, and yield events. Perform other duties as assigned.
