Summary:
Manage strategic risk assessment and audit functions to ensure regulatory compliance, domestic and internationally.
Follow and report on trade actions and provide insights including impact analysis and forecasting.
Manage the international compliance team, brokers, and service providers overseeing US, Canada, and Mexico import and export compliance.
Manage part classifications and team to ensure parts are classified accurately and timely to avoid border crossing delays and entry errors.
Support SAP GTS implementation, training, and maintenance.
Manage post entry activities including post entry corrections, protests, reconciliation, and prior disclosures.
Manage the duty savings and refund programs and team, including USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements, duty drawback, CBSA Annex 9963, etc.
Qualifications:
Licensed US Customs Broker required
Bachelors degree in Business, logistics, or related field required
8+ years of experience with 5+ years in experience in Trade compliance
Strong knowledge of US and Canada customs laws
2+ years of experience managing teams and service providers
Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to travel both domestic and internationally
