Our Client, a Global Leader in the Design, Manufacture and Distribution of Agricultural Machinery company, is looking for an International, Logistics Planner I for their Duluth, GA location.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Processes all inbound shipments for serialized units, machinery, and fully owns spare parts inbound operations.
  • Communicates daily with customs brokers and 4PL partners to coordinate clearance and release of inbound goods.
  • Prepares, reviews, and organizes all import documentation, ensuring accuracy for customs submission (Invoice, Packing List, BL, CO, etc.).
  • Coordinates freight pick ups (air, sea, ground) based on shipment requirements.
  • Monitors arrival milestones and transit updates to ensure shipments remain on schedule.
  • Updates all inbound shipment data in SAP, including: Order number for each serialized unit
  • Prepares all standard export documentation.
  • Coordinates outbound shipments in SAP/TMS.
  • Performs daily tracking of departures, transit movements, and customer notifications.
  • Records operational incidents and escalate issues that exceed defined autonomy.
  • Performs initial validation of logistics invoices, rates, and service charges.
  • Generates Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for logistics services and follows up on approvals.
  • Maintains operational dashboards and trackers for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Prepares operational reports for shipment flows, exceptions, and cycle times.
  • Supports internal teams with documentation, shipment inquiries, and status updates.
  • Manifestación de Valor (Value Declaration)
  • Prepares and submits the Manifestación de Valor in VUCEM for standard inbound operations.
  • Gathers all supporting documentation and inputs required for accurate submission.
  • Ensures the accuracy and regulatory compliance of all data included in the declaration.
  • and audit-ready electronic import files for each assigned shipment.
  • Monitors inbound shipment status, transit progress, and customs release timelines to ensure on time arrival and proper communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Prepares and validates standard export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, and Certificates of Origin..
  • Partner with production, purchasing, sales, marketing, finance, and 4PL partner teams to align supply plans with operational goals and customer expectations.
 
Requirements:

  • Proficient in Trade compliance, logistics, and quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Skilled in refining algorithms to support data-driven decisions.
  • Evaluate multiple options and alternatives to determine the best course of action.
  • Translates requirements into clear, actionable plans.
  • Demonstrates fact-based problem-solving expertise.
  • Clearly articulates analytical results in verbal and written formats tailored to the audience.
  • Effectively aligns messaging to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Negotiates with suppliers to ensure consistent material flow.
  • Communicates seamlessly across all organizational levels.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
  • Excels in oral, written, and aural communication in English and native language(s).
  • Thrives in intercultural, cross-functional, and cross-brand team environments.
  • 3 years’ experience in Trade Compliance and Logistics
  • Business administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar are highly desirable
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with SAP modules (MM, PP, LES) or JDE is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must have experience with Tariffs.
