Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $115,000 to $125,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of all employee pay, deductions, and related transactions.
  • Maintain payroll records and prepare reports that summarize earnings, taxes, leave balances, and other payroll details.
  • Review payroll calculations to confirm proper tax treatment and ensure all payments comply with federal, state, and local rules.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing payroll information, documentation, and clarification.
  • Work with cross functional teams to improve payroll procedures, update system processes, and maintain clear payroll guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • Previous experience supporting payroll during mergers and acquisitions, including transition support and integration work.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a payroll management role or similar function.
  • Prior experience working with international payroll rules, country specific regulations, and global compliance needs.
  • Certified Payroll Professional credential.
Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of payroll operations including controls, balancing, and tax requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and work with limited oversight.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to support, guide, and evaluate payroll staff.
  • Ability to work with numbers accurately and resolve payroll issues promptly.
