Summary
The International Recruiter serves as the Universitys primary recruiter for international students, leading recruitment strategies and relationship-building efforts that attract, engage, and enroll academically qualified students from around the world. This role collaborates closely with campus partners, provides individualized admissions counseling, represents the University internationally, and supports institutional enrollment goals through strategic planning, data analysis, and exceptional student service.

Duties and Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible to:
- Testify to personal experience of salvation in Jesus Christ, affirm belief in the University's Statement of Faith, abide by and practice our Life Together Covenant, and both personally agree with and support the Foundational Documents of Taylor University.
International Recruitment & Strategic Outreach
- Serve as the Universitys primary recruiter for international students, leading strategic recruitment efforts to attract, engage, and enroll qualified students in alignment with Admissions enrollment goals.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with the Spencer Center for Global Engagement, the Office of International Programs, international schools, educational partners, guidance counselors, and regional recruitment partners to strengthen recruitment efforts and cultivate prospective student pipelines.
- Plan and facilitate virtual and in-person recruitment events and engagement opportunities, including international student panels, MK/TCK programming, and other initiatives designed to connect prospective students with the Taylor community.
- Stay informed of international education trends, visa processes, immigration requirements, and federal regulations impacting international student recruitment.
Student Engagement
- Counsel prospective international students and their families throughout the admissions process, providing individualized guidance from inquiry through enrollment.
- Respond to prospective student inquiries through the CRM, email, WhatsApp, and other platforms in a timely manner.
Admissions & Enrollment
- Review international applications for completeness and facilitate timely progression through the admissions review process.
- Guide prospective international students and their families through the admissions process by assisting with financial aid documentation, admissions and immigration requirements, and visa-related processes to support successful enrollment.
Data & Planning
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the international admissions pipeline and be prepared to provide regular updates to Admissions leadership regarding applications, admits, deposits, and enrollment trends.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment activities, student communications, and engagement within the Universitys CRM system.
Travel & Representation
- Travel internationally, as approved, to represent the University at recruitment events, school visits, and partner meetings.
- Coordinate and prepare recruitment materials and event resources for University representatives traveling internationally, including displays, banners, tablecloths, and promotional materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1-3 years of experience in recruitment, international education, or a related field, preferred.
Skills and Competencies
Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and cross-cultural communication skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify recruitment opportunities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual communication platforms.
