The International Risk Manager supports the institutions’ safety and compliance by managing travel-related risks that could affect students, faculty, staff, or the University’s operations and reputation. The position reports primarily to the Director of Education Abroad with a secondary reporting line to the CSU Chief Risk Officer. Leading the review and implementation of travel risk policies, protocols, and training, the role is essential to addressing evolving geopolitical, health, legal and environmental risks worldwide. The position serves as the go-to role for international risk management questions from faculty, staff, and students as well as acts in emergency response support for international incidents.
