Internationalization Architect - INTL India

Our client is transforming its Digital Platform into a globally scalable enterprise platform capable of supporting multiple countries, regions, languages, currencies, legal entities, and regulatory requirements.
The Internationalisation & Compliance Architect will define and govern the enterprise strategy for globalization, ensuring all digital products and platforms are designed to support country-specific legal, tax, financial, and compliance requirements while maintaining a common global architecture.
This role will establish the foundational architecture required to onboard newcountries rapidly while minimizing customization, regulatory risk, and technical debt.
Key Responsibilities
Global Platform Architecture
Define and own the enterprise Internationalisation (I18N) and Localization (L10N) architecture strategy.
Establish architecture standards for global platform scalability and regional adaptability.
Design platform capabilities supporting:
Multi-language experiences
Multi-currency operations
Regional business processes
Country-specific compliance requirements
Global legal entity structures
Ensure solutions remain configuration-driven and country-agnostic wherever possible.
Country-Specific Legal, Tax & Compliance Enablement
Define enterprise architecture patterns for supporting country-specific legal, tax, financial, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with Legal, Finance, Tax, Trade Compliance, and Product teams to translate regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Establish standards supporting:
VAT, GST, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax
Regional invoicing and financial reporting
E-Invoicing requirements
Country-specific document retention requirements
Data privacy and residency regulations
Trade and customs compliance
Multi-currency financial processing
Regional address and identity standards
Define country onboarding frameworks enabling rapid expansion into new markets.
Enterprise Application Integration
Ensure globalization standards are consistently implemented across:
Digital Commerce Platforms
CRM Platforms
CPQ Solutions
OMS Platforms
Oracle ERP Ecosystem
Supply Chain Applications
Drive integration patterns between front-office, mid-office, and back-office platforms.
Governance & Quality
Conduct architecture reviews and compliance readiness assessments.
Establish globalization and compliance checkpoints within SDLC and release governance processes.
Define testing strategies covering:
Internationalisation
Regulatory compliance
Tax validation
Financial localization
Regression automation
Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

13+ years of software engineering experience.
5+ years in enterprise architecture or solution architecture roles.
Proven experience delivering global enterprise platforms supporting multiple countries.
Experience implementing country-specific legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
