JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Jim Henson Company has remained an established leader in family entertainment for over 60 years and is recognized worldwide as an innovator in puppetry, animatronics and animation. Henson's most recent television credits include Duff's Happy Fun Bake Time for Discovery+, Earth to Ned for Disney+, Fraggle Rock: Rock On! for Apple TV+, and the Emmy Award-winning Netflix Original series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The Company is currently in production on the upcoming series Harriet the Spy and a reboot of Fraggle Rock, both for Apple TV+, as well as Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio for Netflix, and the feature film The Portable Door.Who you are:A junior or senior majoring in film/video productionExperience as a crew member on multiple student film sets.Proven competence in one (or more) of the following areas: production audio, DIT management, video editing (Premiere Pro), camera operationThe position requires some manual labor (moving and setting up equipment)Reliable team member with a positive, collaborative attitude.Familiarity with Maya and/or Unreal Engine is a plus JHC's DCS Production Internship is open to college students who are currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university. Candidates must be available a minimum of 16 hours per week (days and hours to be determined). Applications from students majoring in film & video production are encouraged to apply. What you will do:Be a key production resource for productions in the DCS "mini-studio". This is a space that we use to produce social media content and other small projects. You will assist users with camera operation, audio recording, file management, and video editing.Production assistant for the DCS department: move, set up, and strike computers, cables, set elements as neededAssist with organization and inventory management of DCS equipment College-CreditThis internship is an unpaid position open to all current students who will receive school credit for the internship.All candidates must get prior approval from their school/academic advisor confirming that they will receive school credit for the internship.School credit confirmation must be presented to JHC prior to beginning an internship.
