    About the Role

    Were looking for a hands-on, motivated intern to support our engineering shop with day-to-day tasks. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with tools, learning how things work, and supporting technical projects from the ground up. Youll work closely with engineers and technicians while gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    What Youll Do

    As a Lab Assistant Intern, youll help the team by:

    • Assisting with basic setup and cleanup for mechanical, thermal, and environmental tests.
    • Helping organize tools, equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient shop.
    • Supporting engineers and Technicians during testing by handing off tools, preparing materials, and completing simple tasks under supervision.
    • Learning how to handle basic shop equipment, and data collection tools.
    • Performing general shop duties such as sweeping, parts cleaning, inventory checks, and workspace upkeep.
    • Pitching in on a variety of tasks as project needs change - every day can be different here.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in a technical program, or college.
    • Interest in mechanical, electrical, or hands-on technical work - no prior experience required.
    • Ability to follow safety procedures and work responsibly in a shop environment.
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
    • Valid drivers license.
    • Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
